Qualifications

A seasoned Collin County trial lawyer who has handled complex, and simple cases for more than 25 years in Collin County and beyond.   He is a founding partner of Saunders, Walsh & Beard, located in McKinney, Texas, where he focuses on cases involving business, real estate, personal injury and contracts, represented Plaintiff's and Defendants. His list of honors includes being AV-Preeiminent rated by judges and peers for many years by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating), as well as selected as a "Super Lawyer" multiple years straight. Mr. Saunders began using the skills he developed as a trial lawyer to help people resolve in mediation, over a decade ago and has mediated many hundreds of cases as both a mediator and a party. His insurance experience and Personal Injury experience lends an additional insight into those cases where insurance is implicated. He has worked with some of the largest insurance companies and understands those cases.    His courtroom experience in the trial of dozens of cases to a jury's verdict enables him to understand the risks of litigation, and counsel parties about those risks, enabling resolution, if one is possible. His representation of parties on both sides of  disputes, over the years, gives him insight and understanding to see disputes from all angles and to creatively helps he parties explore, and find middle ground.

Jacob D. Thomas

Qualifications

As a partner at Saunders | Walsh, Jacob D. Thomas is dedicated to serving clients throughout North Texas. Board Certified in Construction Law, Jacob focuses his practice on construction and business law, generally handling issues involving real estate disputes, real estate fraud, premises liability, commercial lease agreements, business organization disputes, construction disputes, construction defects, and lien and bond claims on construction projects. He also accepts general civil litigation cases.

Before receiving a Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School in 2003, Mr. Thomas attended the College of William and Mary. From there, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and English in 2000.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Thomas has committed himself to guiding his clients through complex business and construction litigation issues. He understands that each situation and case is unique, which is why he tailors his tactics to each client’s needs. Mr. Thomas emphasizes preparedness, and he draws on his knowledge and experience to formulate an approach that focuses on achieving his client’s goals as efficiently and effectively as possible. From the start of a case until its resolution, Mr. Thomas communicates with his client, and offers him or her appropriate and useful guidance, to enable his client to make informed decisions. In recognition of his ethical standards and exceptional results, Mr. Thomas has an Avvo “Superb” rating and an AV rating from Martindale.

Staying active in the community, Mr. Thomas was an incorporator and founding board member of Kaufman County Crime Stoppers. In 2011, he served as chair of that organization. Beyond his work in the courtroom and with the community, Mr. Thomas enjoys spending time with his children and praying for the Dallas Cowboys.

George E. Crumley

Qualifications

George E. Crumley has spent his entire career since 1991 as a trial attorney. He has been selected multiple times by his peers as one of the Top 100 attorneys in the entire Dallas/Ft Worth region as published by the prestigious Super Lawyers.  He spent his first 14 years of practice at a prominent Dallas litigation firm where he was named a partner and which during his tenure was named by multiple publications as one of the best law firms in Texas. As lead counsel, he has personally tried to a jury and judge, appealed, and arbitrated cases representing both plaintiffs and defendants in courts all over Texas, including the trial of injury, motor vehicle, premises and product liability, contract, probate, and complex construction cases involving multiple parties, as well as high conflict divorce and custody matters. His lengthy list of of honors includes many years of listing as a top attorney in Super Lawyers and Texas Monthly magazines, a perfect 10.0 Superb rating on Avvo, and the highest possible AV rating of 5.0 out of 5.0 with Martindale-Hubbell as voted by lawyers and judges before whom he practiced.  His experience includes arguing and winning numerous appellate decisions including landmark cases decided by the Supreme Court of Texas. After study and training, he began using his experience to serve parties as a mediator in 2007, including spending many years as an associate mediator for one of the most successful mediation firms in Dallas. His experience in trial before more than 40 Texas juries in more than a dozen counties and hundreds of trials before judges has enabled him to understand what parties will face if they are unable to resolve disputes and are forced to go to court.  He moved his practice to Collin County in 2008 forming Pittenger, Nuspl & Crumley, expanding his practice into family law, including high conflict divorce and custody cases.  He handles the mediation of cases including motor vehicle accidents, personal injury, contracts, commercial disputes, estate and probate matters, and divorce and child custody cases.
